Prop and Food Stylist Inspirations
I wanted to gather research and inspirations of prop and food stylist to get an overlook of these roles. This process really helped me with seeing how established props and food stylist showcase their work.
Food Stylists
Anisa Sabet is Photographer, Stylist and an Educator. I enjoyed going through her work and seeing her incredible work. She had variety of styles from light to dark food photography and the way she styled her subjects. I like the way she portrays her food with not overpowering it too much.
Kitty Coles is a Food and prop Stylist and also a Food writer. She has worked with the Guardian and from viewing her images she really does have a way to keep the viewer engaged.
Tony Hutchinson does Still Life, Food and Advertising Stylist. I really like the way he presented the food, the 'cut up' and 'bitten' food is really an effective way to show the foods in a interesting way. This is a technique that I will try in my shoot.

Louie is a prop stylist and art director based in London, who work is mainly across food, still life and interiors. His Clients include : FT weekend magazine / The Gourmand / Wallpaper / The Sunday Times / Waitrose Magazine / The Guardian - Feast - G-labs / Observer Magazine / Net-a-Porter / M&S / John Lewis / The Telegraph / Condé Nast Traveller / National Geographic Traveller Food / Ocado and more. I like the how he creates a story within each images. For instance the orange one with the leaves surrounding it made the subject look realistic.
Kimberly Espinel is a food prop and food stylist based in London. Her clients include Orion Publishing, Waitrose, Tetley, Primrose's Kitchen LTD and Leisure Cooker. I really like Kimberly's work and her way of using props to make the food more captivating. She uses the correct props to match the food aesthetic.
